Key Accountabilities/Deliverables

  • Execute Strategic Solutions: Transform blueprinted designs from the architecture team into fully realized implementations, collaborating directly with key stakeholders to guarantee successful delivery.
  • Enhance DevOps Pipelines: Maintain, optimize, and expand robust CI/CD pipelines to streamline automated deployments and uphold modern DevOps practices.
  • Ensure Operational Stability: Guarantee the continuous uptime, overall stability, and peak performance of critical enterprise workloads across Azure and AWS environments.
  • Engineer Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Design scalable, repeatable, and automated cloud infrastructure deployments utilizing advanced Terraform scripting and modular configurations.
  • Resolve Complex Incidents: Swiftly diagnose and troubleshoot advanced cloud issues, driving root-cause remediation to minimize downtime and prevent future disruptions.
  • Optimize Cloud Spend: Spearhead continuous cost-efficiency initiatives, such as resource rightsizing and strategic reservations, to maximize cloud return on investment.
  • Fortify Security & Compliance: Strengthen the overall cloud security posture by managing endpoint protection policies and executing centralized update management across all environments.
  • Empower Cloud Operations: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation and operational runbooks to streamline support workflows, ensure business continuity, and drive automation.
  • Drive Business Alignment: Support vital Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) objectives, ensuring cloud infrastructure scales seamlessly and aligns directly with broader business goals.

Technical Knowledge and Understanding

  • Advanced Cloud Expertise: Deep technical knowledge of core Azure services (Compute, Networking, Storage, Entra ID, RBAC) alongside functional experience managing AWS environments.
  • Solution Implementation: Proven track record of translating complex architectural blueprints into fully operational, secure, and scalable cloud solutions while partnering directly with technical and business stakeholders.
  • Infrastructure as Code (IaC): High-level proficiency in Terraform for deploying and managing complex cloud infrastructure, including custom module development, state management, and modular design.
  • DevOps & CI/CD Mastery: Strong hands-on experience building, maintaining, and optimizing robust CI/CD pipelines to enable seamless continuous delivery and automated infrastructure updates.
  • Automation & Scripting: Advanced capability in scripting languages, such as PowerShell, Bash, or Python, to eliminate manual workflows and streamline routine infrastructure management.
  • Operational Resilience: Extensive experience maintaining overall platform stability, managing complex incident response, and utilizing monitoring tools like Azure Monitor and Log Analytics to ensure continuous health.
  • Cloud Financial Management: Demonstrated success in executing advanced cloud cost optimization strategies, including resource rightsizing, idle resource elimination, and robust reservation management.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology or related field.
  • 5+ years in Enterprise Information Technology engineering and/or operations.
  • 4+ years of previous Microsoft Azure experience or relevant exposureMicrosoft Entra Id, Azure Update Manager, Azure Virtual Desktop, API Management, Application Gateway, Load Balancer, App Services, etc.
  • Powershell or other scripting language experience
  • Docker/Container experience a plus
  • 2+ years of previous Terraform experience or relevant exposure.
