Senior Cloud Engineer
The Role
As a Senior Cloud Engineer, you will design and build innovative cloud-based solutions while collaborating with a global team of engineers within the Enterprise API Platform team. This role focuses on developing scalable APIs, deploying cloud-native applications, and ensuring platform reliability in a highly collaborative and fast-paced environment.
Skills And Expertise
- Strong Java expertise with experience building, configuring, and deploying applications in public cloud environments (Azure or AWS).
- Experience developing user interfaces using the React framework.
- Solid understanding of REST API principles with hands-on experience designing and developing APIs.
- Experience implementing OAuth authentication and authorization flows.
- Proficiency with CI/CD and DevOps tools such as Helm, SonarQube, GitHub, Artifactory, and Jenkins.
- Hands-on experience with Kubernetes, including deploying APIs using Helm charts.
- Experience building and maintaining highly available, resilient platforms.
- Able to design and automate processes for provisioning, upgrading, and restoring cloud resources.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills for diagnosing and resolving production issues.
- Effective communication and stakeholder influencing skills.
Nice-to-Have Skills
- Experience developing APIs and tools using Golang.
- Familiarity with event-driven and queue-based systems such as SQS for real-time data processing.
- Experience using Gen-AI developer tools (e.g., Copilot) to improve development efficiency and productivity.

Fidelity’s Onsite Working Model
Fidelity is transitioning to a full-time onsite working model through a phased rollout across regions and roles. Currently, some roles and locations require 100% onsite presence, while others require less. Onsite expectations are likely to evolve as the rollout continues. This transition does not apply to fully remote roles.
