About the role
We are looking for an experienced cloud architect to lead the migration of applications from a closed, restricted network into a cloud environment.
Responsibilities
- Conduct an analysis of Cloud Service Provider (CSP), cloud environment, and service options for the migration of 6 applications (models) and data currently residing on SNET.
- Support DISA Registration and Cyber Security Service Provider (CSSP) assessment and selection (Contractor can be an SME but not be part of the selection).
- Establish cloud connectivity, security analysis, and planning, including connectivity to the cloud environment and from the cloud environment to required external data sources and applications.
- Environment setup, including designing and establishing the cloud infrastructure.
- Authority to Operate (ATO) submission, including the RMF process, Enterprise Mission Assurance Support Service (eMASS) package, and gaining AO approval for the environment.
- Execute the migration to the cloud environment (final cutover) once the environment and applications have been accredited.
- Develop artifacts utilizing Visio and O365 products.
Requirements
- Active Secret clearance (TS Preferred).
- Security+ CE certification.
- Environment Training Certificate.
- 5+ years of experience in system administration.
- Minimum 3-5 years of work experience designing, executing, and supporting IT Cloud solutions (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS).
- Excellent communication and customer relation skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- Experience in the evaluation and implementation of multiple cloud environments, including AWS and Azure.
