Pay Transparency: The pay range for this role is $85,000.00–$160,000.00 annually. The base pay offered will consider the candidate’s location, education, job-knowledge, skills, and experience in prior relevant roles. Incentives may also be provided as part of employee compensation. For sales roles, employees will be eligible for sales incentive (i.e., commission) under the applicable plan terms. For non-sales roles, employees will be eligible for a discretionary annual bonus, with target amounts varying by role. Employees may also participate in the Company’s long-term incentive plan, with eligibility and target amounts dependent on the role.

In addition to compensation, the Company offers a competitive suite of benefits, including a 401(k) with up to a 6% employer match and no vesting period, an employee stock purchase plan, “flexible time off” for salaried employees, accrual of three to five weeks’ vacation annually (based on tenure) for hourly employees, accrual of up to 64 hours of paid sick time annually, paid and/or floating holidays, parental leave, short- and long-term disability insurance, tuition reimbursement, and health and welfare benefits.

About the Role

The Senior Clinical Specialist will work with the Regional Sales Director within the Upstate NY territory to meet existing and potential clients (e.g., physicians, physician office groups at hospitals) to identify their clinical needs, goals, and constraints related to patient care. They will discuss and demonstrate how company products can help achieve these goals and meet patient/client needs. By providing case coverage, the Senior Clinical Specialist will contribute to achieving projected sales goals, Company objectives, and increasing sales revenue.

Responsibilities

  • Provide case coverage and ensure good clinical outcomes for patients.
  • Serve as the primary resource for clinical support in coverage, troubleshooting, and in-service education for company products.
  • Inform customers on the latest product, therapy, and technology developments in the industry by engaging in procedural and technical discussions.
  • Demonstrate the ability to link clinical data to key messaging.
  • Meet with existing and potential customers to identify clinical needs, goals, and constraints, and provide creative, feasible solutions using company products.
  • Collaborate and communicate account and other requested information to the local territory manager on a daily basis.
  • Support monitoring of product inventory levels.
  • Share insights on competitive products or account issues and opportunities with the appropriate Territory Manager or Clinical Specialist.
  • Educate customers on the merits and proper clinical usage of company products.
  • Lead challenging or complex case reviews and develop content for Regional and/or Area clinical calls.
  • Support the Regional Sales Director in creating and disseminating educational content for the internal team.
  • Provide case support and coverage for the most complex cases requiring a higher level of clinical expertise.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Arts or Science or equivalent medical training (required).
  • Medical training (RT, RCIS, Surgical Tech, RN, NP, or first assistant) preferred.
  • 2+ years of direct experience in the medical device industry (preferred).
  • 3+ years of strong clinical orientation with experience in interventional cardiology, electrophysiology, vascular, or cardiac surgery (preferred).

Skills

  • Solid clinical knowledge in interventional cardiology, electrophysiology, interventional radiology, vascular, or cardiac surgery.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and strong clinical orientation with the ability to influence clinicians, nurses, and lab techs.
  • Ability to persuasively communicate and tailor the Interventional Technologies Value Proposition.
  • Analytical with financial acumen, understanding how product performance and data impact a health system’s bottom line.
  • Ability to maintain good working relationships while handling sensitive and confidential matters.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Attention to detail for maintaining records and processing reports.
  • Thorough knowledge of the medical device market, products, and territory’s customer base.
  • Strong emotional intelligence with proven problem-solving and critical-thinking skills in high-stakes clinical environments.
  • Adaptability, professionalism, and customer focus.
  • Collaboration across sales and clinical teams to achieve shared goals.
  • Previous experience providing clinical education and training to staff members is preferred.
  • Values teamwork and collaboration internally and externally with customers.
  • Self-driven with the ability to operate independently as the primary on-site representative for the company.
  • Knowledge of MS Office systems.

Physical Demands

Schedule

Regular domestic travel: 25-50%.
