About the role
The Senior Clinical Project Manager (CNS) is a critical member of the clinical trial delivery team, focusing on project delivery, productivity, and quality. This role involves leading the project team, strategic planning, and execution of clinical studies to meet contractual requirements.
Responsibilities
- Participate in bid defense preparations and lead bid defense presentations.
- Develop integrated study management plans with the core project team.
- Accountable for the strategic planning and execution of clinical studies, optimizing speed, quality, and cost of delivery.
- Set objectives for the core project team, effectively communicate and assess performance.
- Collaborate with other functional groups to support milestone achievement and manage study issues and obstacles.
- Maintain progress against contract and proactively present project information to stakeholders.
- Manage risk and contingencies, lead problem-solving efforts, and ensure project quality.
- Act as the primary project contact with customers and own relationship with key customer contacts.
- Communicate with IQVIA business development representatives as necessary.
- Build and lead the cross-functional project team, managing cross-collaboration and overall project delivery.
- Achieve financial success by forecasting and identifying opportunities to accelerate activities, managing change control, and communicating lessons learned.
- Provide input on project team members' performance and support staff development.
- Mentor less experienced project team members on assigned projects.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Life Sciences or related field.
- Greater than 7 years clinical research experience, including 4 years project management experience.
- Therapeutic expertise in CNS, preferably with neurology and psychiatry experience.
- Advanced knowledge of clinical trials, regulatory requirements, and broad protocol knowledge.
- Strong communication skills, including written and verbal communication, and customer management skills.
- Strong problem-solving and leadership skills.
- Excellent organizational and prioritization skills.
- Ability to make decisions, prioritize conflicting priorities, and handle complex situations.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in work.
- Good understanding of project financials and contractual obligations.
- Ability to demonstrate IQVIA core competencies (Client Focus, Collaboration, Communication, Innovation, Ownership).
