About the role

This role combines advanced clinical skills with empathy, leadership, and purpose, providing comprehensive nursing care for patients in an ambulatory care environment.

Responsibilities

• Provides comprehensive nursing care for patients in an ambulatory care environment based on individual physical, emotional, spiritual needs, and appropriate care strategies throughout the lifespan.
• Facilitates care coordination by using the nursing process to assess, identify, plan, implement, and evaluate all aspects of care and teaching needs via direct and telephonic/telehealth or electronic encounters.
• Works in collaboration with other members of the health care team, serving in a coaching and mentoring role to staff while functioning as a working member of the department and may be assigned in a specialty care area.
• Maintains compliance with professional nursing standards and regulatory requirements and supports clinicians in delivering quality health care to patients.
• Integrates nursing process in carrying out effective patient care and leadership roles.
• Utilizes a collegial and systematic approach to nursing practice.
• Ensures efficiency through active participation in quality assurance, process improvement, infection control, and staff development program initiatives and oversight.
• Adheres to state regulatory and compliance guidelines.
• Provides specialized care in an assigned specialty department, utilizing critical thinking skills, experience, knowledge, and demonstrated competency in patient pre-admission screenings, preadmit, intra-procedure and recovery of patients.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited registered nursing school
• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing, or Associate's Degree in Nursing (AND)
• 4 years' experience as a registered nurse

Qualifications

• Washington Registered Nurse License
• Provider ACLS - American Heart Association
• Provider PALS - American Heart Association
• 2 years ambulatory nursing experience. If specialty, experience preferred in specialty clinic.
