Senior Client Accounting Coordinator
About the role
The opportunity is for a Senior Client Accounting Coordinator position in Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP's New York City office, currently working a hybrid schedule of 2 days in-office and 3 days remote.
Responsibilities
- Client account analysis and billing support to partners
- Clients accounting activity coordination for assigned partners and practice areas
- Proactive trouble spot identification and resolution
- Bill preparation and internal form creation
- Implementation of Client Accounting procedures, processes, and goals
- Work effort coordination including timely preparation of client bills and follow-up on outstanding balances
- Information, guidance, and support provision to clients, attorneys, and business services professionals
- Strong work team relationships formulation, both internally and externally
- Solutions coordination and problem-solving development
- Training, mentoring, and assistance provision to Client Accounting Assistants and Coordinators
- Leadership role assumption when supervisor/manager is absent
- Complete and updated files maintenance for each partner and/or client
- Knowledge enhancement of all Client Accounting procedures and processes
- Effective interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills demonstration
Qualifications
- Relevant Firm computer software programs knowledge (e.g., Aderant, Outlook, Excel, Word)
- Interpersonal and communication skills effectiveness

- Bachelor's degree minimum
- Legal billing work experience including account analysis related functions minimum five (5) years
- Aderant, Elite or 3E experience

Pay
The starting base salary for this position is expected to be within the range listed under Salary Details. Actual salary will be determined based on skills, experience (to the extent relevant) and other-job related factors, consistent with applicable law.
