Responsibilities
- Investigate and adjust workers' compensation claims with high potential exposure.
- Analyze coverage, determine compensability and benefits.
- Establish reserves and negotiate settlements.
- Prepare large loss reports to both internal and external audiences.
- Attend settlement conferences as assigned.
- Work closely with defense attorneys and other vendors including medical case management, surveillance, etc.
Qualifications
- Typically requires 10+ years of experience, but exceptional candidates with 7+ years of proven success in California workers' compensation claims adjusting experience with higher exposure claims may be considered.
- Current license to adjust workers’ compensation claims in California is required.
- Strong consideration will be given to candidates with industry designations including Associate in Claims.
- You must be a great communicator, in both written and verbal form, and be able to work with a variety of internal and external contacts.
