Senior Claims Specialist, Remote - CA Workers' Compensation

Responsibilities

• Investigate and adjust workers' compensation claims with high potential exposure.
• Analyze coverage, determine compensability and benefits.
• Establish reserves and negotiate settlements.
• Prepare large loss reports to both internal and external audiences.
• Attend settlement conferences as assigned.
• Work closely with defense attorneys and other vendors including medical case management, surveillance, etc.

Qualifications

• Typically requires 10+ years of experience, but exceptional candidates with 7+ years of proven success in California workers' compensation claims adjusting experience with higher exposure claims may be considered.
• Current license to adjust workers’ compensation claims in California is required.
• Strong consideration will be given to candidates with industry designations including Associate in Claims.
• You must be a great communicator, in both written and verbal form, and be able to work with a variety of internal and external contacts.
