Senior Claims Specialist – Cyber

About the role

A leading insurance organization hiring a Senior Claims Specialist for their Cyber team. This is a senior-level technical role handling a range of cyber claims (1st and 3rd party), along with other E&O claims if required. You will manage mid to high-exposure claims from first notice through resolution, with a strong focus on coverage analysis, litigation strategy, and stakeholder management.

Responsibilities

• Handle mid to complex cyber and tech E&O claims through to conclusion
• Lead coverage investigations and draft detailed coverage position letters independently
• Manage litigated files, coordinating defense counsel and driving strategy through to resolution
• Evaluate liability, damages, and settlement exposure on higher-severity claims
• Maintain strong relationships with brokers, insureds, attorneys, and internal stakeholders

Qualifications

• 3+ years cyber claims experience – ideally with 1st and 3rd party cyber experience gained from an insurer or law firm
• Attorneys looking to move in-house to insurance will be considered
• Experience within other PL claims such as Tech E&O, Media E&O or other E&O claims
• Strong exposure to coverage interpretation and other coverage matters
• Experienced within litigation through all stages of the claims process
• Background with a reputable carrier or law firm
• Bachelor’s degree required; Adjuster License

Pay

Competitive base salary ($125,000 – $145,000) + 10% annual bonus

Schedule

4 days in office from Jersey City, NJ; Warren, NJ; or Morristown, NJ with 1 day remote
