Senior Claims Manager, Remote - CA Workers' Compensation

Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage a team of claim professionals
• Direct and coach the performance of the team members
• Develop and implement strategies for proactive claim resolutions
• Assign, direct, and monitor vendors such as attorneys, surveillance, and nurse case managers
• Communicate effectively with team members and insureds
• Develop strategies to mitigate potential losses and facilitate quick return to work for injured employees

Qualifications

• Minimum of 10 years of diverse experience in workers’ compensation claims handling
• Minimum of 4 years of claims management experience in California
• Expert claims handling knowledge and management experience in at least one of the following jurisdictions: Arizona, Colorado, Nevada, Oregon, or Utah
• Bachelor’s degree preferred
• Solid background in coverage analysis, reserving, claims investigation, and litigation management
• Prior work with large or national accounts
