Senior Civil Project Manager II

We are seeking a Senior Civil Project Manager II with 15+ years of professional experience to join our Civil Engineering team in Jacksonville, FL. As Civil Market Leader, you will act as a seller-doer, combining business development, client management, and technical oversight to drive revenue growth and operational excellence. Success is measured by securing high-value projects, expanding market share, meeting sales and revenue targets, and fostering a high-performing team. Responsibilities

• Regularly market services to current and prospective clients to ensure a growing practice in your area of expertise.
• Confer with management, production, and marketing staff to discuss project specifications and procedures.
• Monitor and assist the team in meeting all financial goals and ensure the upcoming pipeline of work is adequate to meet company goals and growth.
• Recruit team members, assign, direct, and evaluate their work, and oversee the development and maintenance of team member competence.
• Perform administrative functions such as reviewing and writing reports, approving expenditures, enforcing rules and processes, and reporting verbally on team results.
• Develop and maintain an organizational structure that maximizes efficiency and career paths for personnel.
• Recommend or direct praise, guidance, disciplinary action, or termination of employees.
• Ensure the region is responsive and communicates effectively to the market.
• Fully address all client feedback, relaying praise to the team or providing corrective measures if the client is not fully satisfied.
• Coordinate and mentor Team Leaders to deliver quality projects that ensure client satisfaction.
• Develop and implement policies, standards, and procedures for engineering/technical work in the market sector across all offices, utilizing company-wide standards.
• Prepare budgets, bids, and contracts, and obtain approvals from the Director.
• Ensure every project has a signed contract to establish a baseline for client billing.
• Coordinate with team leaders to build a backlog projection to assist in team utilization, growth, and hiring decisions.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree in engineering or related field.
• 20 or more years of experience post-graduation.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license or other professional license as required.
• Post-graduate business education and/or MBA preferred.
• Must be currently authorized to work in the U.S. on a full-time basis; sponsorship is not available.
