About the role
At Bowman, we're looking for a Senior Civil Project Manager to join our team in either our Reno or Las Vegas, NV office. This role offers a competitive salary range of $115,000 - $140,000, commensurate with experience, plus a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance, a 401(k) retirement savings plan with company match, paid time off, sick leave, and holidays, tuition reimbursement, and professional development support. Responsibilities
- Execute through administration, technical and management techniques assigned municipal and land development projects to ensure successful completion, on time and within allocated budget.
- Support Branch Manager in managing staff and clients, and pursuing new clients.
- Lead and mentor junior staff, sharing technical proficiency, guidance, and best practices.
- Cultivate and maintain strong client relationships, representing the firm with professionalism and authority.
- Develop and implement strategies to enhance service delivery and operational efficiency.
- Perform project development for complex projects, including finalizing scope, preparing bid summaries, budgets, and cost estimates.
- Manage day-to-day project management on multiple projects to meet time and budget milestones.
- Prepare and direct preparation of designs, specifications, plans, estimates, and reports for projects.
- Review job cost sheets and prepare monthly billings, ensuring projects stay within budget allocation.
- Maintain healthy client relationships and possess solid operational insight for driving projects and executing deliverables.
- Assist with marketing presentations and attend marketing meetings, supporting the pursuit of repeat business and new clients.
- Supervise the work of project personnel to ensure they meet the highest professional standards.
- Liaise with clients and agencies, subcontractors, and design teams on projects.
- Review project changes, pending or anticipated alterations to the contract, additional work requests, and other factors affecting staffing requirements or budget.
- Provide technical assistance in resolving design problems, including field investigations, detailed design work, and coordination of design aspects.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering required.
- Registered Professional in field of expertise required.
- Ten or more (10+) years of experience in engineering and construction.
- Ability to write reports, prepare narratives, develop applications, submit documents, and respond letters.
- Proficiency in advanced software tools and field inspection equipment.
- Strong ability to read and interpret complex construction plans and specifications.
- Valid state driver’s license and successful completion of a motor vehicle check.
- Working knowledge of applicable laws, standards, and regulations relating to engineering and construction.
- Knowledge of math, surveying, construction plans, materials testing, and construction materials and techniques relevant to the work environment.
