Senior Civil Litigation Attorney

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Civil Litigation Attorney to join a growing litigation practice representing clients in complex civil disputes. This role offers the opportunity to manage sophisticated litigation matters from inception through trial and appeal while serving as first-chair trial counsel.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage complex civil litigation matters from inception through resolution, including trial and appeal.
• Develop litigation strategies and perform detailed case evaluations.
• Draft pleadings, motions, discovery requests, responses, legal memoranda, and other litigation documents.
• Conduct and defend depositions.
• Prepare and argue motions before California courts.
• Represent clients during hearings, mediations, arbitrations, settlement conferences, and trials.
• Serve as first-chair trial counsel on complex litigation matters.
• Coordinate with expert witnesses, investigators, and litigation support professionals.
• Maintain regular communication with clients and provide strategic legal guidance.
• Conduct legal research and analyze statutes, regulations, and case law.
• Ensure compliance with court deadlines, procedural rules, and case management requirements.
• Maintain accurate case files and litigation documentation.

Required Qualifications

• Education: Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
• Licensing: Active member in good standing with the California State Bar.
• Experience: Minimum 8 years of civil litigation experience. Demonstrated ability to independently manage complex litigation matters from inception through resolution. Proven first-chair trial experience. Strong knowledge of: California Civil Procedure, California Evidence Code, Motion Practice, Discovery, Trial Preparation, Courtroom Advocacy.
