Minimum Qualifications
- A Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited four-year college or university in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- Four (4) or more years of progressively responsible experience in a related engineering role that would demonstrate effectiveness in leading engineering projects and providing technical expertise.
- Minimum of two years of project management experience in federal, state, or local government administration.
- Proven experience and knowledge of:
- Traffic engineering principles, practices, concepts, procedures, and methods.
- Complete Streets design and execution.
- ADA transition plan development and implementation.
- State and federal guidelines, principles, and practices related to uniform traffic control devices.
- Traffic signal system operations (timing & coordination), warrant analysis and design.
- Traffic impact Studies TIS scoping and evaluation.
- Licenses or certifications: Professional Traffic Operations Engineer (PTOE), desired.
- Current and valid Ohio driver’s license with an acceptable driver’s abstract to meet criteria for insurability established by the City of Gahanna.
Licensure or Certification Requirements
- Licensed Professional Engineer within the state of Ohio.
- Professional Traffic Operations Engineer, PTOE, desired.
