Senior Civil Engineer/Project Manager - Transportation

About the role

We are seeking a skilled and inspired Project Manager/Senior Civil Engineer to join our Transportation-Roads and Streets team in Chicago, Illinois.

Responsibilities

• Plan, provide design guidance, and manage technical delivery of a variety of civil engineering projects, primarily focused in Public Transportation
• Communicate with clients regarding current projects and collaborate with project managers and our business development team to identify and position the firm to successfully win future work
• Effectively direct and support technical staff to deliver projects
• Avoid preparing and managing project scope, budget, and schedule and prepare deliverables
• Avoid assist project managers in preparing and managing project scope, budget, and schedule and prepare deliverables
• Avoid assist with business development efforts to cultivate strong client relationships

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
• Registered PE in the state of Illinois
• At least 8-10 years of experience in public transportation design
• Experience in roadway, stormwater, grading plans, and maintenance of traffic in northeast Illinois
• Experience mentoring engineers and design technicians
• Previous experience in AutoCAD Civil 3D and/or Bentley OpenRoads Designer required
