What You’ll Do as the Transportation Senior Project Manager

• Oversight and mentoring of multiple Project Managers across various offices
• Managing and tracking the department's backlog
• Cultivating new business connections and collaborating with the Business Development Team to identify IDOT PTB items to pursue
• Managing PMs current IDOT Phase I, II or III engineering projects as well as County and Municipal Transportation projects
• Building and maintaining strong, long-term relationships with clients, ensuring satisfaction, retention, and alignment with business objectives
• Monitoring and managing the transportation department's backlog, ensuring accurate tracking, prioritization, and timely resolution to meet operational goals

What You Will Need To Thrive In This Role

• Licensure: Professional Engineer (PE) License in the state of Illinois or ability to obtain
• Education: A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Civil Engineering is preferred)
• Experience: 15+ years of experience working on IDOT roadway and bridge design projects, and managing/mentoring civil engineering staff
• Location: Decatur, IL - Hybrid schedule is available
• Software skills: Microsoft 365, MicroStation/OpenRoads and Adobe (AutoCAD Civil 3D beneficial)
