Senior Civil Engineer | Nashua, NH

Principal Responsibilities

• Cook up and oversee land development projects of various sizes and complexities
• Help Project Executives and Client Executives with design scopes, fee calculations, proposal creation, and contract reviews
• Create project schedules with clear milestones and deadlines
• Be the go-to person for project teams and clients
• Generate monthly billings, submit financial info to Accounting promptly, and update billing projections and completion percentages
• Make sure design work adheres to owner standards, IMEG standards, codes, and quality control expectations
• Collaborate with design staff and coordinate project scheduling throughout all stages of design and construction
• Schedule and lead progress meetings and provide meeting documentation
• Visit construction sites, provide necessary documentation, and address client and construction concerns, including change orders and approvals
• Mentor, train, motivate, and lead others while building and maintaining client relationships

Required Qualifications And Skills

• Bachelor of Science (BS) Degree in Civil Engineering, or equivalent, required
• Professional Engineer (PE) License required, 7+ years of experience minimum, 8 preferred, in the building design consulting industry
• Demonstrated leadership traits in the Project Management career path
• Adept in the technical aspects of one’s discipline, mastery of technical and analytical skills including proficiency in the Civil Engineering field
• Ability to perform final quality control checks in their area of expertise
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to clearly communicate in both oral and written communication to individuals or groups
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
• Attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• Eagerness to adapt to new challenges
• Proficient with MS Office Suite including but not limited to Word, Excel, and Outlook
• Up to 20% travel with occasional overnight stays
