Senior Civil Engineer

About the role

We are hiring engineers to support customer-driven projects, including the development of new data centers across Nevada. The civil engineer position will focus on performing full-scope civil and structural design tasks, supporting field activities, developing construction packages, and delivering technical expertise across both large capital projects and smaller ad-hoc assignments.

Responsibilities

• Transmission Line (TL) Engineering:
  • Full range of TL scope including routing, siting, surveying, planning, and estimating.
  • Perform field assessments, design work, and material take-offs.
  • Prepare complete construction packages.
  • Design structures, poles, and foundations; calculate pole strength.
  • Support smaller distribution-level projects.
  • Provide updated facility estimates for requests from the Rates & Regulatory department.
• Substation & Civil Design:
  • Lead substation civil and structural design.
  • Support site development, including site plans, drainage, and permitting.
  • Interpret and incorporate geotechnical reports into design.

Requirements

• Utility experience
• Proficiency in PLS-CADD
• Professional Engineer (P.E.) license
