Senior Civil Engineer

About the role

We’re looking for a Senior Civil Engineer to join our group of civil engineers in the Central region of the US. In this role, you will join multi-disciplined teams in the planning, design, and construction engineering of site-development projects for our wide range of municipal and private clients.

Our hybrid work model combines in-office collaboration and flexibility. You’ll work in the office three days a week to contribute, connect, and excel in our vibrant environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the preparation of site plans, technical reports, design drawings, contract documents, cost estimates, and permit applications for projects
• Develop land development plans and attend municipal meetings
• Design linear infrastructure (piping, forcemains, drainage) for various sites
• Navigate local, county, and state regulations and permitting requirements
• Provide mentorship and develop junior engineers

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering
• Current Professional Engineer (PE) license (in Texas) preferred or ability to file for licensure within 1 year
• 5-10 years of project experience in land development, specifically around linear infrastructure; experience in multiple states a plus
• Familiarity with engineering modeling software including HydroCAD, SewerGEMS, HEC-RAS
• Knowledge of engineering drafting software by Autodesk (Civil 3D) and ability to work closely with CAD professionals
• Experience with presentations at zoning hearings and other public meetings
