Senior Civil Engineer (10+ years)

About the role

Coffman Engineers is seeking a highly skilled, self-motivated, technically minded Senior Civil Engineer (10+ years) to join our Anchorage team in applying engineering skills to challenging, rewarding projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead projects independently and collaborate with other team members
• Mentor and lead civil engineers and designers
• Coordinate with clients
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
• Work on a wide variety of project types ranging from military, federal, commercial, industrial, utilities, to energy and sustainability focused projects

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering
• Registration as a PE
• 10 or more years of experience in the design and management of road designs, military projects, underground and aboveground utilities, and water treatment plants
• Ability to lead projects independently and collaborate with other team members
• Experience with both urban and rural infrastructure throughout Alaska preferred
• Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D
• Effective technical writing and communication skills
• Excellent time management skills
• A positive attitude with a focus on team and client success

• Technical mentorship of civil engineering team members
