Senior Civil Designer

Primary Responsibilities

• Perform CAD Drafting with AutoDesk Civil 3D while utilizing survey field data.
• Perform zoning reviews and concept plans for site feasibility and optimization based on client needs.
• Prepare complete Site/Civil plans sets including demolition, site layout, grading, utility, and SWM / E&S plans, road and utility profiles and typical sections.
• Prepare various forms of site/civil details & exhibits.
• Provide cut/fill volume computations.
• Ensure scheduling and productivity objectives are achieved.
• Provide mentorship to other staff members.

Basic Requirements

• A High School Diploma (or equivalent).
• 8+ years of professional experience working in Civil Design and/or Civil Drafting.
• Proficiency with current ACAD Civil 3D software.
• A Valid Driver’s License may be required, depending on the nature of the work.

Preferred Qualifications

• An Associate’s degree in Civil Engineering, Design Technology, or a related technical field of study is a plus!
• Exposure to municipal engineering / infrastructure improvement projects.
• Experience coordinating directly with clientèle and regulatory agencies.
• Stormwater conveyance system and basin design is a plus.
• A general understanding of land use regulations including municipal ordinances, water and sewer departments, County engineering departments, NJDEP, NJDOT and Pinelands Commission.
• Proficiency on standard Microsoft Office software applications.
• Proven ability to utilize technical mathematics.
• Proven ability to work in a team environment with minimal supervision.
• Proven ability to work in a self-motivated manner while effectively multi-tasking and prioritizing multiple assignments.
• Excellent communication skills (verbal & written); proven active-listening skills is a plus!
