Senior Civil Design Engineer / Project Manager

Job Summary

Kaw Valley Engineering, Inc. (KVE) is seeking a talented Civil Design Engineer/Project Manager to join their dynamic team. The ideal candidate will manage multiple projects, interact with production staff, clients, and review agencies, develop and QAQC plans for site development and public improvement projects, coordinate and complete daily workflow, and collaborate with the KVE team, clients, and project stakeholders.

About the Role

The Civil Design Engineer/Project Manager will play an integral role in maintaining client satisfaction and developing the firm's client base. They will also serve as a mentor and provide guidance to less experienced staff.

Responsibilities

• Manage multiple projects and interact with production staff, clients, and review agencies.
• Develop and QAQC Plans for site development and public improvement projects.
• Cook up and complete daily workflow on assigned projects, including project studies, reports, calculations, and other similar design-related assignments.
• Be involved in Civil Design, Utility Coordination, Permit Acquisition, and Client Invoicing.
• Collaborate with the KVE team, clients, and project stakeholders, including architects and engineers outside the firm.
• Serve as a mentor and provide guidance to less experienced staff.

Requirements

• BS in Engineering from an accredited program
• Kansas P.E. license (ability to obtain license within 60 days)
• Consulting experience is preferred
• Expertise in residential and commercial site development, and transportation is a strong plus
• Experience in municipal engineering policy and procedures is a plus
• Experience managing and navigating the completion of projects
