Role Overview
Kodak is seeking Senior Chemical Operators to join their Specialty Chemical Division (SCID). These operators will oversee and maintain a continuous flow of various chemicals through processing equipment, aiming to optimize production, ensure product quality, and reduce waste.Specialized Skills Job Expectations
- Completion of SCID operator training program focusing on HSE, process equipment operation, procedures, and operating techniques.
- Compliance with divisional HSE policies including chemical verifications, additions, lifting procedures, and required personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills.
- Strong communication abilities, both written and verbal, with the capacity to express oneself clearly, read job-related materials, and write effectively. Must also have the ability to comprehend various work requests.
- Proficiency in using computers and various databases and programs.
- Basic mathematical skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and percentage calculations.
- Maintain a clean work area, adhere to 5S principles, and operate safely at all times.
- Work with and be exposed to various chemicals, some of which may be hazardous, requiring appropriate PPE.
- Regularly perform tasks involving walking, standing, and lifting, sometimes in awkward positions.
- Willingness to work extended hours and adjust schedules for shutdowns and business needs.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, knowing when to stop, call for help, or wait for assistance when faced with issues or problems.
- Capable of working 12-hour rotating shifts.
