Senior Center Director

About the role

The Senior Center Director manages, supervises, plans, and promotes the operations and activities for the multi-service program designed to provide physical, social, nutritional, educational, and psychological needs for Madison County residents 55 years and older. This position is responsible for administrative and supervisory duties including oversight, management, and compliance with state and federal supported programs.

Responsibilities

• Ensures facility management and custodial operations meet standards.

Requirements

This position requires a bachelor’s degree in a related field and five years of progressively responsible experience in senior center administration or a closely related field. A valid Georgia driver’s license is required.

Qualifications

Must have excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills. Must be able to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Must be able to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends.

Skills

Strong leadership and management skills are essential. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is required. Knowledge of aging-related issues and services is preferred.
