About the role
As a Senior Engineer in the Cell Technology Team, you will work at the forefront of battery innovation. You will support the scouting and evaluation of new materials and chemistries and collaborate with internal and external partners. This is a hands-on position ideal for someone curious, independent, and eager to grow.
Responsibilities
- Lead the scouting, designing, and validating of novel battery cell technologies, focusing on improving energy, power, charge rate, and cycle life.
- Design, execute, and analyze experiments related to new material and cell testing.
- Collaborate across disciplines to integrate new technologies into our platforms.
- Analyze electrochemical data, carry out root cause analysis, and investigate degradation or failure mechanisms.
- Explore innovative technologies to identify opportunities and advantages.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Chemistry, Electrochemistry, or a related field with 5+ years of job experience (2+ years in battery technologies) is required.
- Master’s degree with 5+ years of experience in battery technologies like Li-Ion, Na-Ion, Solid-State, etc., is preferred.
- Experience with Physics-based Simulation, Mechanical Simulation, or Thermal Simulation for Battery Cells.
- Strong drive to learn and grow with a "never settle, always improving" attitude.
- Effective time management skills with a strong sense of ownership.
- Clear, candid communicator who enjoys collaborating with others and building relationships across disciplines.
