Cell Platform Development Senior Engineer

About the role

Ampace is a global battery-technology company specializing in lithium-ion cells and systems for energy storage, data centers, and critical power. Our R&D pairs advanced cell chemistry with semi-solid-state technology to deliver safe, high-performance batteries at scale. This position is based at our R&D center in Xiamen, China.

Responsibilities

• Scout and incubate frontier energy-storage cell technologies.
• Develop advanced cell technology, platform technology, and its implementation.
• Engage global customers and solve their technical problems.
• Lead and manage a frontier-technology development team.

Requirements

• PhD with a research background in chemistry or materials; Li-ion or Na-ion battery experience preferred.
• Familiarity with Li-battery materials and processes, and with EIS, cyclic voltammetry, XRD, and SEM.
• Strong analysis and communication; drive, self-motivation, and resilience; good English.
