Senior CEI Inspector

Key Responsibilities

• Performing highly complex technical assignments in field surveying and construction layout, marking, and checking engineering computations, inspecting construction work, and conducting field tests
• Coordinating and managing the lower level inspectors
• Performing work under the general supervision of the Project Administrator
• Setting own project deadlines
• Providing on the job training to new employees
• Making sure that all work meets quality, performance, specifications, and/or code requirements through inspection duties
• Conducting daily field inspections and maintaining inspection records
• Participating in punch lists, testing, and commissioning
• Tracking quality assurance progress
• Contributing to documentation for area and equipment turnovers

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

• High School diploma or equivalent
• 8+ years of related CEI experience, including work on TDOT projects
• Maintain the physical endurance to work in various outdoor environments, including extreme heat and cold
• Candidates must be trustworthy and responsible
• Daily travel and/or overnight stays may be required depending on project needs
• Valid TN Driver's license, with a clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR)
• Successful completion of drug screening and background check

• TDOA Aggregate Certified Testing Technician
• TDOA Concrete Certified Field Technician
• TDOA Hot Mix Asphalt Certified Plant Technician
• TDOA Hot Mix Asphalt Certified Roadway Technician
• Nuclear Radiation Safety
• Tennessee Stormwater, Erosion, and Sedimentation Control Training and Certification Program for Inspectors and Contractors
