Responsibilities
- Manage a moderate- to high-complexity portfolio of national agreements to optimize quality, value, utilization, and financial performance.
- Develop category strategies, negotiation plans, RFP approaches, and sourcing initiatives based on client needs, financial analysis, market dynamics, emerging technologies, and healthcare industry trends.
- Lead supplier negotiations and support agreement implementation and portfolio optimization to deliver differentiated value for clients.
- Serve as a category expert by providing clients, suppliers, and cross-functional teams with market intelligence, strategic insights, and contract guidance.
- Analyze pricing, utilization, spend, market intelligence, and industry trends to identify opportunities and inform category strategies.
- Manage supplier relationships and business reviews to improve performance, identify portfolio gaps, and develop value-focused initiatives.
- Partner with marketing, legal, finance, field teams, and advisory solutions to align category strategies with client needs and market opportunities.
- Facilitate client and supplier engagement to gather input, communicate contract developments, support conversions, and advance contracting initiatives.
- Create and deliver category communications and presentations that share industry trends, strategic insights, contract enhancements, and best practices.
Qualifications
- Relevant degree preferred.
- 5 or more years of relevant experience required.
- Experience in strategic sourcing, category management, contracting, supply chain, or supplier relationship management.
- Demonstrated ability to develop category strategies and lead sourcing and negotiation initiatives.
- Strong financial, analytical, and market research skills with the ability to translate data into actionable strategies.
- Knowledge of healthcare supply chain, capital equipment, or related healthcare markets preferred.
- Strong relationship management and collaboration skills with the ability to engage clients, suppliers, and cross-functional teams.
- Excellent written, verbal, presentation, and facilitation skills.
- Able to manage multiple priorities and make informed decisions in a complex business environment.
- Willingness to travel.
