Risk Evaluation & Underwriting

Analyze new and renewal submissions to assess exposure, loss history, financial condition, and overall risk quality.
Determine appropriate pricing, terms, and conditions in accordance with company guidelines and market conditions.
Structure casualty programs including primary, excess, and specialty liability coverages.
Apply sound judgment to balance risk appetite with business development goals.

Portfolio & Account Management

Manage a book of business to achieve profitability, retention, and growth targets.
Monitor account performance, loss trends, and industry developments to adjust underwriting strategies.
Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.

Broker & Client Engagement

Develop and maintain strong relationships with brokers, agents, and insureds.
Communicate underwriting decisions clearly and negotiate terms effectively.
Participate in client meetings, underwriting audits, and market presentations.

Collaboration & Internal Partnership

Work closely with actuarial, claims, risk engineering, and product teams to evaluate complex risks.
Contribute to product development, underwriting guidelines, and strategic initiatives.
Mentor junior underwriters or underwriting assistants as needed.

Pay

SALARY: The estimated salary range for this position is $150,000 -200,000 per year. This is a good-faith assessment of the salary range for this position only. In determining the actual salary within this range, MSIG USA will consider a candidate’s relevant experience, location, and other job-related factors.
