Responsibilities
- Manage daily cash accounting activities, including cash receipts, disbursements, and transaction reconciliation across multiple accounts and entities.
- Prepare and post cash-related journal entries while ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP accounting standards.
- Perform monthly bank reconciliations and investigate discrepancies to ensure timely resolution.
- Support month-end and quarter-end close processes, including cash reporting, account reconciliations, and variance analysis.
- Aid in cash forecasting, liquidity reporting, and monitoring of operational cash flows.
- Ensure accurate allocation of cash activity across multiple business units, legal entities, and accounts.
- Partner with Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Treasury, and Finance teams to improve cash processes and resolve issues.
- Assist with process improvement initiatives, including automation, reporting enhancements, and system optimization.
- Support audit requests by providing documentation and analysis related to cash activity and reconciliations.
- Maintain strong internal controls and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 4+ years of progressive accounting experience with strong exposure to cash accounting and reconciliations.
- Strong understanding of GAAP accounting principles and financial reporting processes.
- Experience managing cash activity for organizations with multiple entities, bank accounts, or complex transactions.
- Proficiency with ERP systems and advanced Excel skills.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities with exceptional attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize competing deadlines, and thrive in a high-growth environment.
- Experience in a private equity-backed, high-growth, or multi-entity organization preferred.
