About the Role

Under the supervision of the Program Director, this position manages a modified caseload and provides supervision for other case managers. Responsibilities include preparing case histories, records, parole and furlough planning, referrals, and related administrative duties. At the discretion of the Program Director, this role may also oversee program activities and supervise other counselors.

Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership through supervision of Case Managers, including direction, input, feedback, and role modeling.
  • Conduct performance reviews and take disciplinary action as needed.
  • Lead program staff meetings in the absence of the Director.
  • Represent case management services in management meetings.
  • Assist with counselor/case manager duties when necessary.
  • Participate in mandatory training and staff development sessions.
  • Ensure duties are performed in accordance with contract, ACA, licensure, and corporate standards.
  • Perform all assigned ACA-related duties and attend mandatory training classes.
  • Prepare appropriate reports and conduct chart audits.
  • Review case management reports, including Parole Summaries, Discharge Summaries, Progress Notes, and Incident reports.
  • Train new case management and case management coordinator staff members.
  • Perform other work-related duties as assigned by the Director.
  • At the direction of the Director, participate in ancillary meetings such as discharge planning, case conferences, and staff meetings.
  • Schedule planned treatment activities, including individual and group sessions, and ensure adherence to the schedule.
  • Schedule program staff to cover group activities.

Requirements

  • Effective communication skills (written and oral).
  • Computer literacy with proficiency in Microsoft Office preferred.
  • Ability to comprehend and follow established rules, regulations, policies, and procedures.
  • Ability to follow course curriculum, facilitate groups, and/or workshops.
  • Ability to establish and maintain relationships with community treatment facilities and other resources essential to case management.
  • Maintain appropriate clearance to service respective clients.
  • Manage a flexible work schedule.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in criminal justice or a social science.
  • Three years of effective relevant performance in an adult residential environment (preferably corrections), including staff supervision.
  • A valid Driver’s License.
