Senior Case Coordinator, Dispute Resolution Mediation

This role supports and executes all phases of the mediation process, including solicitation of parties, mediator selection, scheduling, administration, and case disposition. The position involves complex administrative work with independent prioritization of tasks, handling routine matters autonomously, and resolving complex issues under moderate supervision.

Responsibilities

  • Monitors, organizes, and maintains all docketed mediation cases to ensure they remain current.
  • Maintains case files in accordance with established procedures, including inputting detailed case notes and session dates into the case processing system.
  • Generates case documents such as mediator lists and Mediation Submission Agreements.
  • Coordinates case scheduling, including site reservations, conference lines, and Zoom invitations, with mediators, parties, and staff.
  • Provides excellent customer service by independently answering and processing case correspondence and general questions from parties and mediators.
  • Handles complex inquiries professionally and independently.
  • Processes mediation financial forms and submissions from parties and mediators; completes second-layer financial reviews as needed.
  • Provides administrative support for special projects and initiatives.
  • Demonstrates FINRA’s values through collaboration, both in-person and virtually, to further FINRA’s mission of investor protection and market integrity.
  • Works closely with Mediation Case Administrators to delegate duties and assignments to staff.
  • Trains and provides guidance to staff and mediators on mediation issues of varying complexity.

Requirements

  • High School diploma and five (5) years of related experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Expertise using desktop computers with the full suite of electronic office applications and other office equipment.
  • Excellent organizational ability, interpersonal skills, and written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience and skill in providing quality customer service.

Working Conditions

  • Hybrid work environment with defined in-person presence requirements.
  • Standard 40-hour workweek with minimal travel and occasional overtime.
  • Must be comfortable working in both virtual and traditional environments.

Pay

Hourly salary ranges by location (FINRA complies with all state and local pay transparency laws):

  • Los Angeles, CA: $29.57 – $52.88
  • CO/FL/TX: $26.37 – $46.23
  • IL/PA: $28.94 – $50.91
  • MA/MD/VA/Washington, DC: $30.22 – $53.07
  • NY/NJ: $30.22 – $55.49

Actual compensation is based on factors such as skill set, experience, education, and market considerations. Non-exempt employees are eligible for overtime pay in accordance with federal, state, or local law. Employees may also be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
