You belong in a company that allows you to act with purpose and thrive in your own way. What You’ll Do: As a Senior Carpenter at Sodexo, you are a problem solver and safety promoter. We will rely on your expert knowledge and technical skills to identify repair and replacement needs. You will also oversee installing, repairing, maintaining, and upgrading systems and equipment. You ensure a safe working environment and productivity among your team. You will perform a variety of standard to moderately complex carpentry tasks, including acting as the functional leader of an assigned crew, related to the maintenance and upkeep of indoor and outdoor areas. Responsibilities include: Serves as a lead carpenter (scheduling and overseeing) for carpentry trade personnel in constructing, maintaining, altering, and repairing building components and structures made of wood and other building materials. Perform the carpentry duties necessary to construct and maintain building woodwork such as bins, counters, shelves, benches, stairs, light gauge steel for walls/partitions, doors, and windows. Interpret drawings/diagrams or verbal instructions from lead position Repair high grade articles of furniture such as cabinets, chairs, store fixtures, and office equipmentAttends work and shows for scheduled shift on time with satisfactory regularity What You Bring: Successful candidates will be team-oriented, adaptable, reliable, and nurturers of a healthy/safe working environment for all. 5 or more years of related work experience.
