About the Role

Sentara Norfolk General Vascular and Interventional Center is hiring a Senior Cardiovascular and Interventional Radiology Technologist. This position demonstrates strong leadership skills, extensive technical expertise, and a commitment to continuous improvement in a fast-paced clinical environment. The role involves assisting leadership with daily operations, coordination of work, quality and service, achievement of operating center goals and objectives, customer satisfaction, and meeting regulatory requirements. The technologist provides technical expertise and serves as a resource for other team members through participation in quality control, improvement/evaluation activities, staff development, and daily support. Performs advanced procedures in cardiovascular, electrophysiology, and interventional radiology, ensuring high-quality diagnostic and therapeutic results.

Location: Norfolk, VA. Work schedule: 3 (12) hour shifts per week (First shift/Days).

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate strong leadership skills and assist leadership with daily operations.
  • Coordinate work, quality, and service to achieve operating center goals and objectives.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Provide technical expertise and serve as a resource for team members.
  • Participate in quality control, improvement/evaluation activities, and staff development.
  • Perform advanced procedures in cardiovascular, electrophysiology, and interventional radiology.

Requirements

  • Registered Radiologic Technologist (RT) certification.
  • RCIS (Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist) or RCES (Registered Cardiac Electrophysiology Specialist) certification.
  • Associate’s Degree.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience.

About the Organization

Sentara Norfolk General Hospital, located in Norfolk, VA, is a 525-bed tertiary care facility and home to the only Level I Adult Trauma Center and burn trauma unit in Hampton Roads.
