Overview
Colliers Engineering & Design is seeking a Senior CADD Designer/Design Manager to join our Highways & Traffic Engineering team!
Responsibilities
- Produce models, drawings, details, and other deliverables for proposals and public infrastructure projects including highways, streets, intersections, and multi-modal facilities.
- Create corridors and 3D surface models for design, estimating, and digital delivery.
- Collaborate with other leaders, as well as CED’s Digital Technology Services Group, to create project workspaces for Bentley Software, maintain and apply CAD standards, and evaluate third party tools.
- Provide on-the-job mentoring to staff, identify and facilitate Bentley MicroStation and InRoads/OpenRoads training, and grow the skills of our engineers as designers.
- Provide quality control and assurance of design products developed by engineers, designers, and technicians.
- Aid project managers in developing cost-effective project budgets and workload planning.
- Supervise CAD production staff as required.
Qualifications
- Associate’s degree in engineering technology or the equivalent years of experience required.
- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering and/or professional engineering licensure a plus.
- 7+ years of CAD design experience on highway transportation projects required.
- Experience with projects for state, county, and municipal transportation agencies required. NYSDOT, New York State county, New York State municipal, or New York State Thruway Authority experience a plus.
- Proficient in one or more of the following platforms: Bentley OpenRoads, Inroads Suite SS10, and/or MicroStation SS10/CONNECT. Transoft Solutions AutoTURN and GuideSIGN. Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D a plus.
- Ability to work both independently and in a collaborative team setting.
- Ability to read, write, and understand English for the purposes of comprehending written job-related communications and verbal instructions and interactions.
Pay
$40.96 to $51.50 per hour (depending on qualifications)
