Senior Buyer

Responsibilities

• Advanced understanding of material requirements planning (MRP).
• Use knowledge for placing purchase requisitions, managing purchase orders, and ensuring a steady supply of raw material.
• Reviews demand signals and purchases raw material in a timely manner; reviews supplier lead times, minimum order quantities, and on time performance.
• Work with operations and commercial managers to ensure service levels and inventory plans are consistent with business growth and financial goals.
• Support inventory optimization efforts and procurement strategies to ensure best in class cash conversion cycle attainment.
• Identify and analyze supply chain risks and opportunities; proactively communicate any material availability issues: ex. shortages and delays.
• Assist with MRO purchases when needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain, Business, Finance, Engineering, or related discipline.
• At least 5 years of supply chain and purchasing experience.
• Procurement Certifications – APICS, Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP), Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM) is a plus.
