Senior Buyer

Duties And Responsibilities

• Lead the RFQ process for the procurement of indirect materials, services, and capital equipment, ensuring optimal business value through competitive pricing and alignment with requirements
• Oversee contract review as a key strategic function, ensuring all agreements support operational goals, protect the organization’s interests, and align with compliance requirements
• Negotiate, review, revise, implement, and manage blanket purchase agreements and purchase orders
• Evaluate, qualify, and onboard new suppliers to support organizational needs and strategic sourcing initiatives
• Continuously identify and pursue cost-saving opportunities across all procurement categories
• Collaborate with suppliers to ensure consistent supply and resolve quality, delivery, or cost concerns
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost reduction in purchasing and inventory management processes
• Maintain accuracy and compliance within the purchasing system by effectively utilizing Hexagon EAM, Infor ERP LX, CaneaOne, and Medius

Requirements

• Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Outlook & Teams
• Reliable, dependable, with a high work ethic
• Proven capability to handle concurrent responsibilities while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail
• Exhibits flexibility by embracing challenges and seeking continuous improvement and personal growth
• Strong negotiation and communication skills
• Able to work with project managers and cross-functional teams on capital investments & procurement activities

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in relevant field; equivalent experience considered
• 8-10+ years of experience in purchasing / procurement, ideally in the manufacturing industry
