Skill Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in business administration or related discipline
- 4 or more years of relevant experience and/or training
- Certified Purchasing Manager or Certified Professional in Supply Management preferred
Responsibilities
- Obtain critical materials and components, equipment, and services through interviewing and/or visiting vendors
- Review, interpret, and verify purchase order requests
- Verify quantity, anticipated costs, and practical application of supplies/materials requested
- Research sources, solicit bids, and compare areas of quality, cost, delivery, and warranty/guarantee policies
- Commit company funds to vendors and expedite orders/shipment/delivery, updating enduser as necessary
- Establish and maintain automated purchase inventory files and records
- Authorize payment to vendor and establish adjustments as required
- Partner with Quality Assurance (QA) department to perform supplier audits
- Liaise with Global Procurement Category and Process team members on projects
- Lead local/national tenders for products and services, including full market research, evaluation, award, implementation, and ongoing management of the awarded supplier
- Perform all other related duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Experience with SAP/Jaggaer preferred
