About the role
We are looking for an experienced and dynamic Senior Buyer to join our growing team. The successful candidate will have a strong background in procurement of large, complex BOMs for electronic components.
Responsibilities
- Lead the strategic sourcing and procurement of electronic components.
- Manage and maintain the Bill of Materials (BOM), ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
- Handle the creation, review, and management of Purchase Orders.
- Utilize Material Requirements Planning (MRP) systems to forecast procurement needs and manage inventory levels.
- Negotiate contracts with suppliers to ensure the quality, cost, and timely delivery of products and services.
- Work closely with the engineering and production teams to understand their needs and ensure that the procurement process supports those needs.
- Monitor market trends, supplier performance, and internal demand to make informed buying decisions.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, fostering a positive and productive partnership.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, as well as regulatory requirements.
- Continually look for opportunities to improve the procurement process, identifying and implementing cost-saving initiatives.
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a buying role, specifically in electrical manufacturing.
- Experience purchasing electronic components is a must.
- Experience with Material Requirements Planning (MRP) systems.
- Strong knowledge of large, complex Bill of Materials (BOMs).
- Aerospace/Defense industry experience is a plus.
- Excellent negotiation skills, with a proven track record of securing favorable terms.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with individuals at all levels of the organization.

Pay
$90,000 - $110,000 per year
