Senior Business Systems Analyst - Hybrid

Genesis10 is currently seeking a Senior Business Systems Analyst - Hybrid for a contract position with a Major Healthcare Company located in Eagan, MN. This is a 6+ month contract-to-hire opportunity. Compensation: $65.00 - $75.00 per hour, W2, based on qualifications Position Overview: This individual will partner closely with Product Owners, application teams, and Solution Architects to translate business needs into functional and technical API specifications. The ideal candidate brings strong healthcare experience, hands-on knowledge of modern API architecture, and specific experience with FHIR standards. This role is critical in bridging the communication between business and technical teams on API-focused initiatives. Key Responsibilities: Gather, analyze, document, and manage API business and technical requirements from Product Owners, application teams, and other stakeholdersPartner with Solution Architects and engineering teams to deliver secure, scalable API solutionsTranslate business requirements into detailed functional and technical API specificationsCreate and maintain user stories, acceptance criteria, process flows, sequence diagrams, and supporting documentationDefine API request and response requirements, data mappings, error-handling requirements, and non-functional requirementsReview API contracts and specifications using OpenAPI/SwaggerSupport API lifecycle management, including API design and versioning strategiesEnsure requirements appropriately address sensitive healthcare data, including PII and PHIParticipate in API testing and validation using PostmanSupport SIT, UAT, and production-readiness activitiesMentor, lead, and train other team members as neededCollaborate across business and technology teams throughout the development lifecycle Primary Requirements: Senior-level Business Systems Analyst experience within complex enterprise environmentsHealthcare industry experience is requiredFHIR knowledge and experience are requiredStrong experience with API analysis and designStrong understanding of REST APIs, JSON, XML payloads, API lifecycle management, and API versioningAbility to review and interpret OpenAPI/Swagger specifications and API contractsExperience defining request/response requirements, data mappings, error handling, and non-functional requirementsUnderstanding of API authentication and authorization concepts, including OAuth 2.0, OpenID, and Auth0 or similar safe and secure environmentsUnderstanding of appropriate PII and PHI handling within healthcare environmentsExperience creating user stories, acceptance criteria, process flows, and sequence diagramsExperience supporting API testing and validation with PostmanExperience supporting SIT, UAT, and production-readiness activitiesStrong communication, analytical, problem-solving, and time-management skillsCreative, curious, self-motivated, and comfortable working across both business and highly technical teams Only candidates available and ready to work directly as Genesis10 employees will be considered for this position.
