Senior Business Systems Analyst

About the role

In this position you will coordinate gathering, development, and documentation of user requirements; review, assess, and improve business processes; and identify opportunities for improving business processes to be more efficient or effective. You will assist in the business case vetting and preparation of proposals for information management efforts, analyze program policies and procedures to determine their effect on automated systems, and focus on business value to develop ideas with awareness of industry trends, risk assessments, business continuity, and business capability requirements.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the analysis of user requirements, procedures, and problems to automate or improve existing systems; coordinate and/or analyze computer system capabilities, workflow, and scheduling limitations.
• Coordinate the service request life cycle through customer-related service request responses, business requirements coordination, technical specifications and related artifacts review, and monitor system integration and user acceptance testing prior to implementation.
• Coordinate with outside vendors and contractors to complete projects and service requests; define, assign, and evaluate their work.
• Identify potential project risks and difficulties and design strategies to mitigate or avoid them.
• Review complex project deliverables such as design documentation, test plans, and risk assessment plans, and provide comments and suggestions to document owners.
• Lead and coordinate process change requests and manage a project’s scope, acceptance, installation, and deployment.
• Correlate business value and priorities to planning activities and goal-setting.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university with major coursework in management information systems or business administration.
• 4 years of experience planning, eliciting, analyzing, and managing business requirements throughout the SDLC, including regression testing.
• 4 years of experience leading simple and complex business process reengineering and transformation efforts that improve quality and customer experience.
• 4 years of experience serving as a business relationship manager or liaison between functional and technical teams.
• 4 years of experience leading project teams or operational and strategic efforts involving stakeholder management, performance tracking, resource allocation, vendor coordination, and task delegation.
• 4 years of experience with projects involving data management, data quality, data warehousing, data modeling, data migration and integration, secure file transfers, enterprise system analysis, enterprise architecture, or information security principles.
• 4 years of experience working in a Scrum Master role or in an Agile Scrum environment.
• 4 years of experience with system implementations and enhancements supporting areas such as building operations, finance, benefits processing, procurement, contract management, legal, audit, human resources, or communications.

Qualifications

• 4 years of experience in a wide range of business environments, including business consulting.
• 4 years of experience managing and implementing IT Service Management processes, procedures, and software applications based on ITIL principles.
• 4 years of experience managing and implementing Procurement and Contract Oversight solutions, including CLM integrations.
• 4 years of technical expertise in business systems analysis, system configuration, information security, and internal control frameworks.
• 4 years of technical expertise with reporting databases, database design, development, data modeling, and mapping.
• 4 years of technical expertise conducting enterprise business analysis, including problem/opportunity analysis, business case development, business architecture, feasibility studies, and risk assessments.
• 4 years of technical expertise creating system-level documentation, system implementation standards, and training materials for users with varying technical backgrounds.
• 4 years of experience with MS Azure DevOps for requirements management and project implementation.
• 4 years of experience with project management software.
• MBA, CCBA, CBAP, CSM, CSPO, PMI-PBA, PMP, ITIL, ICGB, or related certification.

Pay

$63.00/hour W2

Hybrid 6-month contract with opportunity for extension in Austin, TX 78701
