Senior Business Systems Analyst
About the role
The Senior, Business System Analyst will join a dynamic team focused on delivering technical solutions and strategies for digital marketing objectives using Epsilon’s PeopleCloud Prospect & Discovery platform. This role involves acting as a liaison between clients, advertising agencies, technical product teams, and data science teams.
Responsibilities
- Support actionable digital media strategies and solutions leveraging business and technical expertise.
- Act as the primary liaison between the client and internal teams to drive the execution and delivery of key client digital initiatives.
- Collaborate with internal teams, including advertising agencies, data science, account management, client development, media managers, data engineers, and product owners.
- Create and maintain detailed project documentation, including requirements, source-to-target specifications, process flow diagrams, data profiles, and test cases.
- Analyze data quality and provide recommendations for improvement.
- Lead product fitment analysis and create specifications for resolving gaps.
- Onboard multiple data sources into a client’s cleanroom environment, ensuring thorough documentation and meeting business requirements.
- Work closely with client services, product/data teams, data science, and clients to ensure business requirements are captured and met.
- Host effective client meetings and drive successful outcomes.
- Support the development and implementation of best practices, standards, and methodologies in business analysis and data analysis.
Requirements
- 5+ years of relevant business analysis experience in database/data-driven marketing.
- Experience in defining business requirements and functional specifications.
- Ability to translate business requirements into functional/business specifications.
- Understanding of relational databases, data warehouses, and data marts.
- Strong understanding of SQL.
- Curiosity to continue learning and strong critical thinking/problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent presentation skills.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and quickly adjust priorities.
- Ability to work collaboratively with global teams.
- Ability to mentor and train less experienced peers.
- Previous digital marketing experience, especially in online display advertising.
- Working knowledge of advertising technologies such as DSP, SSP, and DMP.
