About the role
The Senior Business Systems Analyst role is to provide and maintain high quality operations systems, personally and through leadership and membership of teams, to support the Company objectives.
Responsibilities
- Quickly understands the business issues and data challenges of the organization and its customers.
- Identifies effective solutions to operational issues – transaction processing – business information etc.
- Documents, edits and reviews requirements, specifications, business processes and recommendations related to proposed solutions.
- Develops functional specifications and system design specifications for new systems, new interfaces, new processes, and new requirements.
- Evaluates local and global system development proposals and provide analysis and recommendations to local management on likely impacts.
- Provide expertise and problem resolution to the functional departments when issues extend outside the knowledge of the functional department.
- Research, communicate and demonstrate “best practice” opportunities for the local/regional organization, allowing key decision makers and local/regional managers the opportunity to leverage “best practice” as a strategic and competitive advantage for the organization.
- Manages Operational system deployments.
- Affords assistance in enforcing project deadlines and schedules.
- Communicates and applies project standards.
- Consistently delivers high-quality services to the packaging systems user community.
- Plan and lead testing, implementation, training, support, and documentation activities for local/global projects.
- Affords assistance to developers – internal and external – through provision of functional specifications and technical walk through.
- Provides reporting to local management on Project progress and issues.
- Resolves technical issues.
- Requests and specifies modifications.
- Leads testing efforts.
- Ensures issues are identified, tracked, reported on, and resolved in a timely manner.
- Works with the users to identify required changes.
- Communicates needed changes to internal and supplier development teams.
- Manages the standard CooperSurgical global release cycle, including analysis, design, test, implementation, support, and documentation.
- Facilitates communication, cooperation, and knowledge sharing with the end user community across the regional area and with the other local/regional Business Analysts to ensure a global system.
- Able to capably use available system tools (Business Objects/Power BI, SQL, Microsoft D365 reporting tools) to gather and prepare data for reports and analytical tasks.
- Designs or prepares reports using approved system tools.
- Uses prepared data to perform analysis of system behavior and respond to ad-hoc reporting requests.
- Supports End User documentation of end-to-end processes flows, business scenarios, Work Instructions, and SOPs.
- Guides End Users through critical test cases and process variations in the system.
- Supports preparation of demonstrations and system walk-throughs for new releases, change requests, and optimization phase design and build.
- Sustains support for Hypercare for global D365 F&O implementations, including office hours support for SuperUsers.
- Sustains support for change impact analyses of new releases and change requests to enable accurate, timely communication to business stakeholders on the change to come.
- Where possible, supports delivery of D365 F&O Training for global End Users using various formats (classroom, VILT, etc.).
- Sustains support for preparation of training exercises, knowledge checks, and supporting data for training programs.
- Sustains support for content development, including training collateral and reference materials.
Qualifications
- Experience: Detailed user knowledge and experience of manufacturing and logistics processes and systems in several major functional areas.
- Experience working directly in at least major operational area – Planning, Supply-Chain, Manufacturing, Distribution, or other production environment.
- 7 years of experience in a similar role.
- Essential IT Experience: Must have extensive proven experience in operations/ logistics IT including WMS, WCS, and Interfaces to ERP systems and automation.
- Microsoft Dynamics 365 F&O experience required, specifically SCM and AWM.
- Material Handling automation systems experience preferred.
- Must be familiar with remote data capture technology, automation control systems.
- Preferred experience of Microsoft D365 including its architecture, configuration, and input /output requirements.
- Familiarity with machine control software.
- High level of IT literacy – concepts and terminology.
- Thorough Project Management experience in the Project Management Cycle.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree or a combination of education and experience resulting in a sound understanding of job responsibilities.

Pay
The good faith estimate of the salary range for this role is $122,124 to $162,832. The actual amount offered is determined by a number of factors including but not limited to location, skills and experience.
