Responsibilities
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand their financial needs and objectives within the E-commerce project.
- Document detailed requirements for financial systems and processes.
- Analyze existing financial systems and identify areas for improvement.
- Conduct financial feasibility studies to determine the impact of proposed changes.
- Work closely with software developers and architects to design financial systems that align with accounting principles and E-commerce project goals.
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
- Develop financial models, forecasts, and projections to support decision-making within the E-commerce project.
- Provide insights on revenue, expenses, and financial performance.
- Partner with QuickBooks, Flex pay, Grail pay and Finance teams to understand the ledger flow and suggest business solutions that align to overall business accounting strategies.
- Collaborate with Audit partners to implement Ecommerce compliance.
- Oversee the implementation of financial systems, ensuring they are integrated seamlessly with the E-commerce platform.
- Collaborate with IT teams to configure software and ensure data accuracy.
- Develop test plans and conduct rigorous testing to ensure the reliability and accuracy of financial systems.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that arise during testing.
- Create comprehensive documentation of financial processes, procedures, and system configurations.
- Train end-users and support teams on system usage.
- Continuously assess and enhance financial systems to optimize efficiency and accuracy.
- Ensure that financial systems and processes adhere to relevant accounting standards, data security regulations, and compliance requirements.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate with various teams, including finance, IT, and operations, to ensure alignment between financial systems and broader E-commerce project goals.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or 3 years’ experience in Finance / Accounting background
- 3+ years of relevant work experience as a Financial system analyst and project/program manager at a startup technology organization, preferably cloud-based (SaaS) product delivery.
- Experience with ERP finance modules including GL, AP, AR, Fixed Assets, Revenue recognition, Costing and Budgets
- Experience with supporting Financial SaaS accounting applications
- Proven ability to build process documentation that improve business performance and operational efficiency
- Experience leading and supporting organizational change and transformation for large-scale projects in the Finance tech space
- Experience in the Agile methodologies and execution of story mapping
- Ability to communicate effectively across remote team members, as well as stakeholders at multiple levels within the organization issues
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
- Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development environment is a plus
- Contributions to open-source projects, technical blog posts, or relevant certifications are a bonus
