About the role
Symbotic is an automation technology leader reimagining the supply chain with its end-to-end, AI-powered robotic and software platform. The Business Intelligence & Analytics team builds and maintains the data warehouse and analytics environment that delivers operational metrics, warehouse reporting, and self-service insights across large-scale deployments, while modernizing the platform by migrating our data lake to the cloud.
Responsibilities
- Design and build data models based on analytics and reporting requirements, data sources, and mapping specifications.
- Develop programs and code using advanced analytics tools such as Qlik, Tableau, and Power BI to visualize data and deliver insights from complex transformation and mapping specs.
- Provide technical thought leadership on BI tools and analytical concepts across analytics, reporting, and dashboard projects.
- Partner with business stakeholders to deliver system projects, including planning, resource management, and deliverables.
- Troubleshoot and resolve data and reporting issues using advanced problem-solving techniques.
- Support the migration of our existing data lake to a new cloud platform.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or a related technical field.
- Minimum of 2 years of business intelligence and analytics experience, including interactive dashboards, QlikView, Tableau, NoSQL, and big data.
- Strong knowledge of data warehousing fundamentals, with hands-on experience designing large databases and data warehouses (logical and physical design) in a team environment.
- Proven experience across the full BI solution lifecycle analysis, design, development, testing, and implementation using data warehouse/data mart design, ETL, and client/server applications.
- Experience writing technical and functional design documents (TDD, FSD), test plans, gap analyses, and source-to-target mappings across Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
- Strong pattern recognition and predictive modeling skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of Python, Scala, and open-source data tools.
- Proficiency with version control tools such as Git, GitLab, and GitHub.
- Experience with wholesale and/or retail industry systems — procurement, merchandising, financial, warehouse, and retail.
