Senior Business Intelligence Developer

About the role

The Sr Business Intelligence Developer works to implement effective reporting solutions to complex business requirements through project management, analysis and managing of the build/implementation.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates expertise across multiple business applications and multiple business intelligence platforms.
• Understands an application portfolio of medium to high complexity.
• Acts as the lead designer for the development of new features and/or enhancements across various reporting environments.
• Identifies and documents functional business requirements.
• Establishes adequate test environments.
• Writes and maintains technical and user documentation.
• Leads and/or participates in project-planning sessions to analyze development requirements and to provide design recommendations for complex systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in IT related field or the equivalent in education and experience.
• 7+ years related work experience.

Skills

• Strong planning, communication and documentation skills.
• Strong analyst skills/business acumen.
• Deep experience with Microsoft Fabric OneLake, Data Warehousing, Data Engineering, Data Integration, Medallion Lakehouse Architecture, Data Product Design Patterns, and Deployment strategies within the Fabric ecosystem.
• Experience with Microsoft VS Code, Visual Studio, Azure DevOps, Azure Repos, ADF, Azure Blob Storage, Azure Data Lake Storage Gen2, Fabric, Lakehouse, Warehouse, Eventhouse, Pipelines, Spark Notebooks, Synapse, SQL/T-SQL, Power BI.
• Knowledge of any of the following would be a plus: MS Purview, Fabric ML, Oracle Fusion ERP, EPM, CPQ, OTM, SplashBI.
