Senior Business Intelligence Analyst (Payments Strategy)

About the role

Ottimate is seeking a Senior BI Analyst to join our finance team. This role bridges complex financial data with strategic insights, serving directly to the Finance Manager and supporting the VP of Payments. Key responsibilities include behavioral modeling, revenue forecasting, optimization strategy, and quality assurance.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain PowerBI dashboards tracking customer and vendor behaviors, identifying churn risks and growth opportunities.
• Develop data-driven forecasts for interchange revenue and operational savings to support quarterly business reviews.
• Act as an internal consultant to identify high-value areas for resource allocation, such as shifting high-volume check spend to e-payments.
• Perform rigorous self-audits and reconciliations to ensure accuracy and defendability of all figures presented to leadership.

Requirements

• Expert-level SQL (complex joins, CTEs), PowerBI, and Excel (advanced modeling).
• Python is a strong plus.
• 4+ years in a Business Intelligence or Financial Analyst role.
• Experience in the US payments industry (Interchange, ACH, VCC) is a significant advantage.
• A "audit" mindset with a keen eye for detail.
