Responsibilities

• Drive the development and implementation of innovative reporting and analytics solutions that align with business objectives and strategic initiatives.
• Provide strategic leadership in the end-to-end development of complex reporting and analytics solutions to deliver high-impact outcomes.
• Develop and execute comprehensive strategies to enhance data literacy and analytical capabilities across the organization.
• Mentor and coach senior supervisors, leaders, managers, and process engineers to elevate their analytical capabilities and drive data-driven decision-making.
• Champion the establishment and dissemination of advanced best practices and standards for leveraging Power BI.
• Undertake rigorous testing and publication of complex reports to Power BI Service, ensuring high-quality, actionable insights for stakeholders.
• Lead proactive research on emerging technologies and trends in Business Intelligence to drive innovation.
• Assess new technologies and advocate for their adoption to enhance data analytics capabilities.

Requirements

• Postsecondary education in Business Intelligence, Business Analytics, Data Science and Analytics, Computer Science, Engineering, Software Engineering, or a similar field.
• PL-300 Microsoft Power BI Data Analyst Certification (preferred).
• 7+ years of Business Intelligence experience, including:
  • Designing and implementing reporting solutions in BI tools (Excel, Power BI, Cognos, Jupyter Notebook, etc.).
  • Querying SQL/NoSQL databases and data warehouses.
  • Designing, developing, and communicating KPIs to business stakeholders.
  • Creating mockups and prototypes to facilitate report design.
  • Teaching others how to build reporting solutions.
  • Developing scalable, sustainable, and maintainable reporting solutions.
• 7+ years of Microsoft Power Platform experience, including:
  • Developing and publishing reports and dashboards in Power BI.
  • Developing data models in Power BI.
  • Developing Power Automate Flows.
  • Developing Power Apps.
  • Administrating Power BI Service and Workspaces.
• 7+ years of solution design experience, including:
  • Communicating complex technical solutions to business stakeholders.
  • Performing stakeholder analysis as part of Systems Analysis and Design.
  • Soliciting requirements from stakeholders at all leadership levels.
  • Implementing Design Thinking and Agile methodologies to improve solution adoption.
  • Monitoring and collecting usage statistics on solutions once implemented.
  • Working as an influencer and evangelist for data-informed decision-making.

Skills

• Fluent in:
  • Power BI
  • Power Query and DAX
  • Excel and querying relational databases/data warehouses (T-SQL)
  • Microsoft Office Suite
  • Design Thinking and Agile methodologies
  • Project management and delivering on multiple initiatives
• Competent in Python for data analysis (NumPy/pandas).
• Effective change management and conflict resolution skills.
