Senior Business Director, Product Strategy & Analysis
About the Role
We’re seeking a Senior Director, Product Strategy and Analysis to support strategic priorities for the Consumer and Developer Experience (CDX) leadership team. CDX drives the critical platforms that power world-class digital engagement for our customers and best-in-class tools for the developers who build them. Our diverse portfolio spans the Capital One mobile app, advanced marketing and personalization engines, AI-driven platforms that transform how we build software, and essential enterprise risk and supplier capabilities. By unifying these consumer, developer, and enterprise operations, CDX accelerates our ability to modernize core systems, strengthen the company's risk posture, and deliver seamless experiences at massive scale.
The Senior Director will join a horizontal product and strategy team that supports priorities across CDX. The team serves as an internal engine for both vision and strategic alignment, operating at the intersection of strategic advisory and product creation. We tackle the organization’s hardest strategic questions, drive the annual planning process, and align long-term priorities while also acting as an innovation lab—developing prototypes and partnering with product and engineering teams to translate conceptual visions into tangible, scaled digital experiences.
Responsibilities

- Lead priority strategic initiatives for CDX, such as AI transformation.

- Set the vision for long-term product innovation, including partnering with engineering to deliver product prototypes.
- Lead a team of strategy and product people leaders and individual contributors, investing in their development and creating a talent pipeline.
- Obsess about internal and external customer satisfaction by building trusted relationships with key stakeholders.
- Cultivate a dynamic, customer-centric, and mission-oriented product culture, fostering collaboration and talent development.
- Role model AI adoption by inventing and spreading solutions that improve work efficiency, quality, and engagement.
Requirements
- Exceptional strategy and strategic problem-solving skills, with a record of answering hard questions in ambiguous areas.
- Strong product orientation, including experience understanding customer needs and delivering solutions that drive results.
- Innovation mindset, characterized by a future orientation, vision-setting, and a willingness to push boundaries.
- Outstanding people leadership, with a collaborative, inspiring, and supportive style.
- Exceptional relationship-building skills, fostering trusted partnerships across organizational boundaries.
- Ability to establish credibility with senior leaders and colleagues from diverse disciplines (e.g., data scientists, P&L owners, designers, engineers).
- Intellectual curiosity and interest in experimenting with leading-edge technologies, organizational models, and new ways of thinking.
- Demonstrated ability to employ judgment and experience to make rapid, complex decisions.
- Highly effective communication skills (both written and verbal).
