Senior Business Development Manager - Retail

This role supports revenue growth through customer focus, relationship development, and disciplined commercial execution. You will collaborate with sales, customer, product, and operational partners to identify opportunities, solve problems, and improve outcomes in a technology-driven environment.

Location: Remote – US-based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Responsibilities

• Identify, pursue, and close new retail opportunities in North America, focusing on general merchandise and specialty retail
• Articulate the retail value proposition, emphasizing modernization and ecosystem flexibility
• Develop and execute innovative go-to-market strategies, including collaboration with third-party partners
• Build and maintain executive-level relationships with retail decision-makers
• Provide insights on market trends and retailer priorities back to the organization
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create effective solutions
• Manage the entire opportunity lifecycle from prospecting to closing, aiming to exceed revenue targets

Qualifications

• 8+ years of business development or enterprise sales experience in retail technology or services, focused on Tier 1, Fortune 500 retailers
• Proven success in sales of Point of Sale (POS) systems, kiosks, self-checkout, and broader retail technology solutions
• Demonstrated hunter mentality with achievements in net-new logo acquisition
• Strong understanding of retail operations and digital transformation strategies
• Experience selling complex, multi-solution offerings, particularly in partnership-driven environments
• Creative and comfortable with ambiguity; proactive in creating opportunities
• Executive presence with influencing skills at senior levels

Pay

$230,000 – $260,000 annually
